Young Woong Kim
Faculty Bio
Kim, Young Woong, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Amrit Singh’s lab at the University of British Columbia (UBC). His current research focuses on blood biomarker discovery in immune diseases, especially systemic sclerosis with interstitial lung disease. His Ph.D. study at UBC developed his interest in systemic immune responses in peripheral blood from people with allergic rhinitis and was published in Allergy and the Journal of Immunology. His academic and industrial research journey allowed him to experience dry and wet laboratory skills in various research topics related to immunology, neuroscience, gastroenterology, and biomedical informatics.
