Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics has a diverse range of over 450 faculty, 70 residents and many research associates, graduate students and staff. The Department hosts undergraduate programs, graduate supervision, 3 post-graduate training programs and post-doctoral training in clinical fellowships and research.

We celebrate the diverse and unique identities of our members across all areas of the Department. We are committed to transforming culture to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for our patients, learners and colleagues. Systemic inequities continue to be perpetuated in medicine, anesthesiology, and academia. We recognize that we can do better to reduce all forms of discrimination including, but not limited to, as result of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, ability, parent status, age, and other identities. We are dedicated to intentional action going forward to create meaningful change.
