The UBC Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics is the largest in western Canada with over 450 Faculty.
The Department’s strategic plan promotes translational research through excellence, collaboration, creativity and diversity across our four academic domains – Research, Education, Clinical Practice, Patient Safety and Knowledge Translation.
Our faculty members are advancing our understanding through drug development, pharmaco-epidemiology, basic sciences, technological advancement and clinical sciences in the following fields, which are conducted at 13 UBC research Centres across 4 health care authorities in BC.
