CALL FOR NOMINATIONS – UBC FACULTY RESEARCH AWARDS

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Faculty Research Awards Committee, I invite your nominations for the following UBC Faculty Research Awards and Prizes.

The following awards and prizes are available:

Competitions with a Deadline of September 15, 2015

• UBC Killam Faculty Research Fellowships
• President’s Award for Public Education through Media

Competitions with a Deadline of October 1, 2015

• UBC Killam Faculty Research Prizes

Competitions with a Deadline of October 15, 2015

• Jacob Biely Faculty Research Prize
• Charles A. McDowell Award for Excellence in Research
• Sam Black Award for Education and Development in the Visual and Performing Arts

Please publicize this ‘Call for Nominations’ throughout your faculty or unit. These awards acknowledge research excellence at UBC, which is home to many outstanding and talented researchers. Recognition at the university level can also lead to increased opportunity at the national and international level.

I encourage departments, divisions, institutes, schools, and faculties to consider nominations of women and those from other underrepresented groups.
